A useful first-session goal
Find your basic home actions, identify one job you qualify for and record your recurring expenses. You do not need to buy an upgrade or plan around a senior salary to make progress. This is a practical starting routine based on the menus and needs described in this guide.
Start through the official game entry guide. Returning players should use their existing account rather than assume a new setup will recover old progress.
Before spending your opening balance
Read the background and home screens carefully. Two guides report an assigned birth lottery; another describes choosing a start. The birth-lottery report also distinguishes declared loan resources from an observed wallet balance. We therefore do not provide a universal Nepo, LAPO or student starting balance.
Record the balance your account shows after setup, any loan or repayment notice, and the selected home’s rent. A screenshot with a gift, bonus or previous income is not proof of normal starting cash.
Settle into a routine
- Meet immediate needs. The reviewed guides report food, sleep and bathroom actions at home. Inspect available objects and their prices before travelling.
- Look at jobs before accepting one. Use the reported Phone → Jobs menu. Read entry requirements, workplace and shift instructions. A salary for a promoted role does not describe a new hire’s starting offer.
- Check travel and activity costs. A job you can reach and complete may be more useful than an attractive listing whose availability is unresolved.
- Review the work result. Record what actually reached the wallet. The job table shows why reported base pay and displayed starting pay cannot safely become take-home pay.
- Keep a reserve for housing and essentials. Check upcoming bills before furniture, entertainment or other optional purchases. This is a budget choice, not a claim about a fixed game penalty.
Choose one skill to develop
The tips guides report Coding practice on a laptop, Charisma practice at a mirror, and Music practice with an instrument. Their promotion guide links progress to performance, skills and other career-specific conditions.
Check your next-role panel before buying equipment or taking a course. These are reported training routes; we have not measured training speed, verified every object or earned a promotion. A course fee is a cost to consider, not evidence of an automatic wage increase.
Plan the rest of the week
Use a simple written ledger until the budget planner is available:
- Current funds and received pay from completed work.
- Shifts your account can actually complete; keep the game’s schedule and your local clock distinct.
- Rent due, loan repayments shown to your account, food, travel and other recurring bills.
- Optional spending only after those costs and a reserve are covered.
The housing guides report Saturday rent, but we have not tested the deduction time or offline behaviour. Check your own housing panel instead of treating the clock claim as a reminder guarantee.
Moving can wait
Compare housing offers before upgrading. A move-in charge is a separate payment from weekly rent. UNILAG housing is reported as student-restricted, so the lowest listed rent may not be available to your account. An Invest offer is also different from buying a home to live in.
What remains uncertain
Opening balances, background assignment, loan deductions, shift timing, rent enforcement, training speed and promotion outcomes have not been reproduced here. We publish no guaranteed first-week income or completion timeline.
